One of my goals for 2012 is to see 100 new movies. And by “new” I mean new to me. So that includes any movie I’ve never seen before (regardless of the release date). I think I’m off to a decent start; I’m 8 movies into my 100. I’m trying to get different genres to keep it diverse. Here’s what I have so far:

  1. Miracle (2004)- Sports
  2. X-Men: First Class (2011)- Superhero
  3. Fast Five (2011)- Action
  4. Limitless (2011)- Thriller
  5. Conan O’Brien Can’t Stop (2011)- Documentary
  6. Black Death (2010)- Horror
  7. Across The Universe (2007)- Musical
  8. Let The Right One In (2008)- Foreign/Horror

I realize that all of these are fairly recent and I’m definitely going to see some older classic films. I’m also looking forward to checking out all of the Oscar Nominated films for Best Picture. That should hold me off for the month of February.

I’m open to suggestions. I want The Dark Knight Rises to be #50 and The Hobbit to be #100. Other than that, send me something obscure that you love and I’ll check it out!

Flash #5 brings to a close our first story arc with the book. Here’s a selection of pages from the issue to entice you to go out and grab it if you still haven’t.

Did anyone notice the ice chunks with Captain Colds foot prints on the title double pager? :)

No more Lord of the Rings posts queued up.

Instead, I have a bunch of Mass Effect posts ready for the next few days. If you can’t tell, I’m excited for the final game coming in March.

Aaron is currently in the studio tracking guitar for our third song. I spent the majority of the weekend over at the studio soaking in the amazing sounds of Aaron’s guitar. Let me tell you, he has a great talent for manipulating pedals and coming up with some really good sounds. I’m consistently impressed by the quality and musicianship of my fellow bandmates. Being around all of this creative energy only makes me look forward to my time in the booth. Get ready, because these songs are sounding huge. Much love.
